Mark Reid
PRESIDENT
Mark Reid
Mark has worked for Reid and Associates Accounting since 2000. Before that, he attended BYU-Idaho taking classes in Accounting and Business Management. After graduating he moved back to New Brunswick to work full time with his father Brian Reid in the family accounting business. Mark is a member of the Professional Business Accountants Society of Atlantic Canada (PBAs). He sits of the board of directors for both the regional and national bodies. Mark joined the PBA (formally RPA) in 2006.
Some things outside of work that Mark enjoys are: gardening, helping on his father-in-law’s farm, karate, and being active in the local community and his church. He has served on the Leisure Services and the Planning Advisory Committees for the Town of Hampton. He also enjoys traveling, history, and learning about other cultures. Mark is also fluent in Spanish and Cambodian.

Margo Desmarais
TREASURER, FINANCE AND AUDIT
Margo Desmarais
Working in the accounting field for over 25 years, Margo completed her Accounting Diploma in Regina Saskatchewan at Reliance Business College before embarking on her career. Over the years she has worked for small and large companies, for profit and non-profit businesses and has in most recent years added tax specializations to her continued learning and expertise. As a self-professed lifelong learner Margo has continued taking courses from many sources including in person, distance and online, she believes knowledge is empowering.
Margo has been a member since September 2010 and joined the Board of Directors a year later. She has held several positions beginning with Membership Director for two years, a year as Executive Vice President and now as President as well as serving on the National Board as Treasurer for 4 years. Margo has a strong sense of community and in addition to her PBA commitments she was also a long standing volunteer board member with Adults for Kids Society of Alberta.
“Life is too short” is the motto Margo lives by and with that philosophy she takes every opportunity to enjoy time with her children, grandchildren, extended family & many friends. Her other interests include watching football, travelling and appreciating the river valleys in and around Edmonton where she makes her home.

Alan Doody
REGULATORY AFFAIRS AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Alan Doody
Alan Doody has been involved in financial management for over 25 years, with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. His career began in the late 1980’s as a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. In the following decade he held a number of senior financial roles in the Greater Toronto Area. Included in his background are controllership roles within the financial services / insurance / transportation and logistics sectors.
Mr. Doody holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the UK and is and Certified in Management Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Executives and Administrators and has been an accredited member of the Certified Professional Accountants of Ontario. His professional profile is listed on Bloomberg Businessweek.
Mr. Doody joined the Registered Public Accountants Association of Canada in early 2003 and received his RPA designation later that year. He was nominated President of the newly independent Ontario chapter in July, 2013.
Upon the rebranding of RPA to PBA in 2015, he has marketed the PBASC brand name to the business community, foreign trained accountants, as well as Ontario Universities and Colleges. He has been instrumental in negotiating Mutual Recognition Agreements between the Professional Business Accountants’ Society of Canada and a number of US, UK and International accounting and financial certifying bodies.
Alan is a lifelong resident of Toronto, Ontario where he resides with his wife and daughters. As well as his duties with the PBASC, he is also the full time CFO for an international transportation and import/export firm. An avid fitness buff, he spends whatever free time he can find, volunteering to teach jiu jitsu and fitness to at-need youth in both private and municipal organizations.

Vince Crosby
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Vince Crosby
Vincent Crosby is an accountant who works both in the public and private sector. Vincent is passionate about two things; management and accounting. Vincent’s first management role was at the age of 17 when he graduated from high school in Victoria, British Columbia as a shift manager in a fast food restaurant. In the span of twenty-six years Vincent has worked with local scout troops, army cadet corps, citizens on patrol, church groups, and other not-for-profit organizations. Since 2009 he has been the director over education with the Registered Public Accountant’s Association of Alberta (RPAA) now PBA Alberta, and in 2015 was appointed to be on the national board of directors as chair of education.
Other designations that Vincent holds are the Master Financial Advisor (MFA) from the Knowledge Bureau, and Professional Manager (P.Mgr.) from the Canadian Institute of Management. Vincent has earned multiple post secondary diplomas, and is currently working on his Masters in Business Administration. Vincent has been recognized over the years for his work with the RPAA with two president awards, the David Stewart award, and in 2015 being made a fellow. When asked what his greatest accomplishment is, he will tell you it is his beautiful family, which consist of his wife of ten years and his three children.

Solomon Nordine, BBA, MBA, FPBA
Solomon Nordine is the President of the Public Business Accountants’ Society of British Columbia. He also serves as a Director for the PBA Society of Canada.
Solomon is the founding owner and President of Complete Accounting Solutions, an award winning PBA firm in Surrey, BC. He is a former treasurer & Director of the Western Vintage Automobile Racing Club. This club is also known as the Vintage Racing Club of BC.
Solomon’s credentials include earning a Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Okanagan University College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix.
Solomon is also a United States Accountant.
